The Handmaid's Tale

In a possible near future, in places that seem familiar, Order has been restored. The State, with the support of its Black Angel militia, strictly enforces the precepts of a revisited Gospel. In this society governed by oppression, under the guise of protecting women, motherhood is reserved for the caste of Handmaids, all dressed in red. One of them recounts her daily life of pain, anguish, and submission. Her only refuge is the memories of a bygone life, of a time when she was free, when she still had a name.
