December 1940. Britain is at war with Nazi Germany. As bombs rain down on London, young Ricky Kee has befriended Gertrude, the gorilla at the zoo. But when Gertrude escapes during yet another night bombing raid, the zoo's director, the rigid Sir Paul Petseck, orders the abominable veterinarian, Miss Saddick, to shoot her. Ricky then decides to save his best friend. A chase ensues, during which he will have to pilot a plane, fight Nazis, and even thwart an attack aboard a submarine. Operation Code Bananas, here we go!
