I know guys like you. They weren’t popular in high school. One day, on an improv stage, they discovered they could control when and how people laughed at them, and that it would allow them to survive. Now that they’re adults, we see them everywhere, on TV, in theaters, on the Internet. They need to be the center of attention to exist. They have to perform on stage five times a week in front of a thousand people to feel like they’re worth something. They measure their human worth by the number of sales, clicks, views, and ratings they generate. And when someone, somewhere, looks away from them, they can’t handle it. They go to war and destroy everything in their path. In an ideal world, I’d know to stay far away from guys like you. But we’re not in an ideal world: guys like you are nice. And, like everyone else, I’ll be happy to help you become a monster.
