The Mooseheads chronicles the fascinating history of the Halifax Mooseheads of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League. Granted a franchise for the 1994-1995 season, the Mooseheads’ organization quickly built a large and loyal fan base, becoming one of the most successful franchises in the Canadian Hockey League. The team itself has also been very successful on the ice, while still in search of its first QMJHL championship. The Mooseheads takes a season-by-season look at the team and organization and features interviews and memorable quotes from key members of the organization’s history such as team founder Harold MacKay; Clement Jodoin, the team’s first head coach and general manager; long-time coach Shawn MacKenzie; and players such as Alex Tanguay, Brandon Benedict and others. Also featured in the book are rare photos from the Mooseheads’ collection that chronicle the history of the team. The Mooseheads includes a chapter for each of the franchise’s eleven seasons from the story of the creation of the team, to the 2004-2005 season.
